Spur celebrates with the little ones during lockdown

Spur Steak Ranches, in collaboration with advertising agency Ninety Nine Cents, has created special personalised videos dedicated to each child celebrating their birthday during the lockdown.
The kids, being part of the Spur Kids Club each receive this video which will be customised with their name.
In the short video, employees from the different Spur restaurants across the country sing the much-loved Spur birthday song from their homes, to help celebrate each upcoming birthday occurring during lockdown.
“Spur has been a part of South African culture for over 5 decades, and birthday celebrations are something we have always treasured. We know that a lot of the kids will be disappointed at not being able to celebrate their birthday in the usual manner, and we wanted to show them that we are thinking of them, even during lockdown.” said Sacha Du Plessis, Chief Marketing Officer at Spur Corporation.
Although Spur have been severely affected by the national lockdown, the company continues its efforts to engage customers, support employees and franchisees during these very tough times.
Spur will send the videos to the parents (who have ‘opted in’ to receive communication), of all kids club members and whose birthdays will be from 15 April 2020 to 30 April 2020, importantly the birthday meal vouchers will be valid until 31 July 2020.
