Spur’s Party Socks Turn Birthday Celebrations into Support for the Spur Full Tummy Fund

Spur 59th Birthday
The limited-edition R50 Party Socks combine the popularity of statement socks with a meaningful purpose as Spur Steak Ranches celebrates its 59th birthday. All profits from the sale will go to the Spur Full Tummy Fund, which provides more than 920,000 meals to children each year.
Johannesburg, South Africa (26 October 2026) – A pair of socks can do more than complete an outfit. As Spur celebrates its 59th birthday, the restaurant brand has launched limited-edition Party Socks for R50 per pair, with all profits from their sale going to the Spur Full Tummy Fund to help provide meals to children in need.
Statement socks have become a way to add personality and fun to a look, and Spur is putting its own twist on the trend. The Party Socks give South Africans a playful way to celebrate with the brand while contributing to a bigger purpose that is closely connected to Spur’s commitment to families and communities.
“As a family brand, our responsibility extends beyond our restaurants to the communities we’re part of,” says Vuyo Henda, Chief Marketing Officer at Spur Corporation. “The Spur Full Tummy Fund is an important part of how we live that commitment, providing more than 920,000 meals to children every year. The Party Socks give our customers a fun and simple way to join us in growing that impact, while celebrating Spur’s birthday with us.”
Supporting the Spur Full Tummy Fund is already part of the everyday Spur experience. R1 from every Kiddies Burger and Mac & Cheese sold goes to the Spur Full Tummy Fund, which currently feeds 920 000 children annually. The Party Socks create another way for customers to contribute to this ongoing work.
The Party Socks day will take centre stage on 18 November 2026. Customers can visit their nearest Spur wearing their party socks and get a free ice cream as part of the birthday celebrations.
More than a birthday initiative, the campaign is an opportunity to bring greater visibility to the Spur Full Tummy Fund and invite more South Africans to be part of its impact. By turning a R50 purchase into a contribution towards providing meals for children.
As Spur approaches its 60th anniversary in 2027, the initiative reflects a commitment that extends beyond the moments created around its tables. It is about using the strength and reach of the Spur brand to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and communities across South Africa.
The limited-edition Party Socks are available for R50 per pair, with all profits from their sale going to the Spur Full Tummy Fund. South Africans are encouraged to get their pair, make them part of their style and join Spur’s birthday celebrations on 18 November.
